99-105 Clark Street New Haven, Connecticut - SOHUThis big tree has been completely dead for several years. This photo is from October 2016. Many people walk and bike on this street. It is dangerous to have dead trees that will drop branches during wind, etc. It would enhance the neighborhood and be safer to plan a new tree.

Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived908 State St New Haven, Connecticut - Bishop-HineThere is a jagged round metal thing sticking up from the ground. My elderly mother tripped on it. If someone fell on that thing, they would get major wound. This is very dangerous and should be removed ASAP!

404 Humphrey St New Haven, Connecticut - Bishop-HineTwo enormous and dead trees on the north side of the street make this area look derelict. Can these be cut down by the city and replaced with living trees please? This is a highly trafficked area also near businesses, churches and Yale. Will be uplifting to improve the environment here.

Public Space, Streets and Drains Archived22 Lincoln St New Haven, Connecticut - East RockBlocked drain at this corner. Enormous and scary looking puddle amid lots of potholes.

SNOW RELATED Archived252-268 Temple Street New Haven, Connecticut - DowntownI wanted to compliment the city on the snow response. I especially liked seeing the "ambassadors" downtown, helping especially pedestrians maneuver in the snow by shoveling the crosswalk ramps full of snow from the wind and plowing. They seemed to be everywhere really helping people.

Illegal Dumping Archived774 State St New Haven, Connecticut - SOHUGreen sofa dumped in the parking lot adjacent to the sidewalk.

Parks Request Archived92-110 Whitney Avenue New Haven Connecticut - Yale University CampusPhelps Triangle is a lovely garden, painstakingly maintained by the New Haven Gardening Club. I am not a member but I hate to think what they would think about the Triangle today. I just walked through with my dog and it contains: a shopping cart full of junk, numerous cardboard boxes embedded within the bushes, prescription pill bottles, broken glass, clothing, and plain old trash. What can be done about this!?!?!?

59 Lincoln St New Haven, Connecticut - East RockSTOP SIGN DOWN. I have phoned this in to the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department today.

Traffic/Road Safety Archived2-14 Church Street New Haven, Connecticut - Town_GreenOn Church St in the direction of the Green and right in front of the KofC Building, cars constantly pull over into the bike lane and stand, I guess in order to pick somebody up. This is a very busy road with lots of bike commuter traffic as well. When I swerve into traffic because of the car parked in the bike lane, several lanes of traffic are potentially impacted and I feel very vulnerable. I take this bike lane every day ~6, and I guess there is a car in the lane 50% of the time. This would be a great place to plan on ticketing violators!
-
Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived250 Temple Street New Haven, Connecticut - DowntownThere is a sink hole in the diagonal path that crosses the Green in between the two churches (United Church on the Green and Center Church on the Green), slightly behind Center Church on the Green. I almost killed my self on the bike. It is at least 10 inches deep. This appears to be a spot that has to be repeatedly filled. Maybe someday this should be fixed properly.

Policing Issue Archived27 Lincoln Street New Haven, Connecticut - East RockWithin the last month, two separate occasions of a "car invasion" have occurred on Lincoln St between Bradley and Pearl. The two cars were parked in their driveways and accidentally left unlocked. In the morning, the owners found their cars had been ransacked inside, with everything pulled out of the glove compartment, the center console, etc. It seems that someone walks down this street frequently, if not every night, trying car doors. We have spread the word among the neighborhood association, but it would seem worthwhile to have neighborhood policing try to catch the perpetrator!

Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived63 Audubon Street New Haven, Connecticut - DowntownWhere Audubon St meets Lincoln Way, there is a pedestrian ramp down to Audubon St. the ramp itself and the segment of the street that it meets consist of chewed up concrete that is extremely bumpy. This is a tripping hazard and dangerous also for anything with wheels. Someone is going to get hurt here.
-
Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived83 Trumbull Street New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect HillThe sidewalk (and driveway) belonging to a dilapidated house (one removed from the corner of Trumbull and Whitney) is absolutely impossible to navigate by wheelchair or with stroller/cane/crutches/walker. It is totally broken up.

Street Lamp Archived400-440 College Street New Haven, Connecticut - DowntownThe lamp is blinking on and off. This is incredibly disturbing because it is a bright LED light, and I always jump in my skin when sitting at that light. I guess it will probably also stop working altogether soon.
