    This is the pedestrian crosswalk at North First street and Mcgrath. The second section of the crosswalk walking towards the lechmere station entrance is very dangerous. When the pedestrian walk signal comes on…the cars are also making a right from N. First onto McGrath AND vehicles are also making a left onto McGrath from First street. All these turning vehicles are supposed to navigate around each other and it’s a pedestrian right of way. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

    There is a large "event" outside a private residence at 15 Hawthorne St. The house is owned by "15 HAWTHORN STREET LLC" but the mailing address is "PRESIDENT AND FELLOWS OF HARVARD".

    There are over 100 Harvard students with megaphones disturbing a residential neighborhood and blocking traffic. Although Harvard owns this house, it is not part of the Harvard campus. The city needs to ask Harvard to hold it's "liberation events" on their own campus. I am not affiliated with any parties involved, I just want peace on Sundays as the city allows 11 hours of construction on every other weekday.

    Before you respond to contact Cambridge police, I did talk to police that were on the site and they were scared to get involved and watched from a distance at Brattle St and Mount Auburn Streets. They would not respond on if this was a permitted event and when the street would re-open.

    Before you move on, consider that this is coming to a neighborhood to you soon. We are already seeing vandalism and disturbances in other parts of the city and the police are powerless to intervene in this state.

    The tree is growing bigger everyday, its branch reaching my window, and leaf dropping on my roof, and gutter. Please trim it. I submitted a request for trimming last Fall, and it was deleted by the system. Resubmitted in April. The city has trimmed all my neighbors trees on green street, just didn't do this one.

    There is heavy construction being performed to the rear of 27 Willard St.
    This is unrelated to any street construction performed by city contractors - it is on a private lot.
    I do not see any recent permits filed on open data. There is a black ford pickup truck in the rear of the house in the driveway between # 25 and 27 when construction is performed. The work often continues late into the evening and weekends beyond the normally allowed construction hours.
    Can a building inspector please visit the site to ensure the proper building permits have been filed, changes comply with zoning and work is done within allowed hours and days?

    With Memorial Day coming shortly, how disgraceful that the Mt. Auburn Veterans Memorial at corner of Huron and Cushing is in such a state of disrepair. This project has been going on since autumn 2023. The memorial is not put back together and is full of construction debris and other trash. Very disrespectful.

    Pedestrians are currently being rerouted during the Lowell Memorial Park construction to a pedestrian crossing on Mount Auburn St across from Mount Auburn cemetery. This crosswalk has no stop light or sign and no pedestrian flashing light. Yet it is the crosswalk that many school children are being rerouted to. And a crossing guard has not even been out in place. I don’t even like crossing at that crosswalk as an adult as it is very unsafe given car speeds on that section of road. This issue needs to be addressed ASAP before a child gets hit. I have reached out to the DNR email address, but as a MA wide agency, I have little faith in a rapid reply. Thoughts on what can be done here to ensure safety, particularly for our school children crossing in the morning & after school?
