This started with Covid as a way to keep pedestrians from having to touch the crosswalk buttons, but now, almost 2 years later, when we know that transmission isn't through touch, all the traffic lights in Emervyille, especially on 40th street, are still frustratingly on a sequential timer at all times during the day, regardless of traffic and are no longer triggered by sensors or cameras.
